Nap In the Sand

This is a watercolor sketch I did of my son Logan during our vacation in Palm Beach. 

He naps like a champ! Can you blame him?  A cool shady spot mixed with the soft rumble of the ocean is a recipe for relaxation.
 
Palm Beach is one of the most gorgeous beaches we've ever visited.  The water is clear blue and the sand feels perfect under your toes.  We will definitely visit again.
 
 I think I captured the peacefulness of the moment.  The light colors in the sand worked out great, although I wish I had spent a little more time modeling the blankets.  Next time....
